Intro to Wax Carving Lesson | 90-Minute Lesson
This beginner-friendly lesson is for anyone interested in lost wax jewellery making who wants to try it for themselves before investing in tools, equipment or a full course.
In this 90-minute hands-on lesson, you’ll learn the foundations of the lost wax build-up technique, using a soldering iron and jeweller’s wax to sculpt a basic textured ring.
By the end of the lesson, you’ll understand the basics of wax build-up and have the skills and confidence to continue practising and exploring your own designs.
What’s included:
All tools, equipment and jeweller’s wax are provided for use during the lesson.
Please note: This class focuses on wax sculpting only and does not include casting your design into metal or finishing your ring.

Hi, I’m Cass! I’m the founder and jeweller behind Metal Bones. After teaching lost wax jewellery making to students around the world online, I decided to bring my take on jewellery making to the Coast! My approach to jewellery design has always been very much on the non-traditional side. I love organic, molten designs and the freedom that comes with sculpting in wax, and I’m confident you’ll love it too. I hope these workshops open a creative door for anyone who might not consider themselves naturally artistic, but has a wild imagination and plenty of creative energy.
