Hi, I’m Cass! After teaching students around the world online, I’m finally bringing my lost wax workshops to the Sunshine Coast. These classes are designed to feel relaxed and beginner friendly, with a focus on learning the foundations of wax sculpting jewellery. This is a casual environment where anyone is welcome to come create unique handmade jewellery with wax.
WORKSHOP faqs
Yes! I’ll make sure you’re fully supported and able to carve and sculpt your first ring from wax with ease. No prior jewellery making experience is needed.
The goal of this workshop is to create one ring carved from wax. I’ll guide you step by step through creating the ring band, then you’ll be invited to add your own texture and details.
No. After the workshop, your wax ring will be handled by me (Cassandra). I’ll organise for your design to be professionally cast into solid metal, capturing all the detail of your original wax piece. From there, I’ll refine and polish the ring before returning it to you approximately 4 weeks after the workshop.
After the workshop, your wax model is sent to a professional casting facility. Once the silver casting is returned to me, I’ll clean up and polish your ring before sending it out to you (or you can collect in store).
You will provide a postal address on the day of the workshop. Your finished ring will be sent to you with tracking via Australia Post once polishing is complete. Alternatively, if you're local you can collect from our Yandina store.
In this workshop, designs will be cast in either silver or gold, depending on your budget. The cost of your metal is additional and will be discussed on the day.
No. This workshop focuses on designing and carving a metal-only ring and does not include stone setting.
You don’t need to bring anything. All tools and materials are provided. Bottled water will also be available on the day.
Yes. The workshop is run in a controlled environment and focuses on gentle wax carving and low-temperature wax melting with the use of a small soldering iron. No gas torches, kilns, or large exposed flames are used during the workshop.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the workshop will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 72 hours of the workshop are non-refundable.
