Metal Bones Jewellery was founded by Cassandra Djodan in 2020 on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Specialising in the ancient art of lost wax carving and sculpting, she blends ethereal and gothic beauty to create unique, one-of-a-kind rings and pendants.

With over 10 years of experience in jewellery design, including electroforming and silversmithing, Cassandra discovered lost wax casting in 2022 — and it completely transformed her creative process, and life.

Lost wax sculpting allows her to create designs that are intuitive, with just the right amount of structure. Not having the gift of drawing, painting, or singing (outside of the shower, that is), she’s incredibly grateful to have found lost wax as a medium to express herself. The beauty of lost wax casting is its accessibility, making it ideal for those with physical challenges. It differs from more physically demanding methods like silversmithing, offering a gentler approach that still allows full creative control.

Cassandra is passionate about helping others create their dream life — not just by crafting beautiful pieces, but by building something meaningful from the ground up. She believes creativity is freedom, and is grateful that the ability to create — regardless of physical or mental challenges — can open the door to a fulfilling life.
